Volume 25, Number 1 is a very special issue for us, marking 25 years of the journal, and we are delighted to share it with you! Included within these pages you will find Sara Selevitch’s review of Pipilotti Rist’s blockbuster exhibition at MOCA, a conversation between Filipino American writer, artist, and educator Dorothy R. Santos and artist, writer, and curator Astria Suparak, Anuradha Vikram’s thoughts on the last Whitney Biennial, and much more!

We will be hosting the launch party at our office in the historic Granada Buildings on May 13th, in conjunction with our dear neighbors from O-Town House. Dean Sameshima’s being alone and Mark Verabioff’s VERBIAGE both close on May 13th, with open hours all day. Stop by O-Town House, and see Dean and Mark’s work, then come on down to X-TRA—directly across the way, a floor below—to celebrate our first issue of our 25th anniversary with us! It’s going to be a beautiful evening in the company of friends and colleagues.
